The Mona Mia

The original acrylic portrait is layered in the warmest shades of reds, Ivory, orange and rust. A light glow surrounds the image as it warms the skin and brightens her lovely face giving her a unique expression.

She is inspired by the beautiful women of Latin America and also a part of my Hermana Series / Sister Series of various women that inspire me from all over the world. At the end of the day…they all represent me one way or another, are self portraits in one way or another and carry my spirit in one way or another.
