A New Endeavor for Mia.. Book Illustrations.. Visual Arts for Literary Arts!

YES Art By Mia ~ Mia Roman has been busy with designing, crafting and illustrating the covers and inserts of a wonderful poetic story titled “Transitions of a NuyoRican Cinderella” by the wonderful and talented Poet, Performance Artist and Playwright Maria Aponte. This Poetic Cinderella does not lose her shoe while traveling and storytelling her journey from El Barrio of East Harlem to the Bronx and back. Join us for the BOOK RELEASE PARTY on March 31, 2012 from 5-7P at the East Harlem Cafe, NYC. Live musical compliation by Chacho Ramirez and Dwight Brewster. You will be able to obtain a signed copy, listen to Maria read her poetic journey, share a book review by Tato Laviera and meet the book illustrator. Digital images of the book illustrations will be for sale and will only sold at various book signings. Raffle tickets will be sold to support a non-profit Girls organization that empowers and mentors girls in the NY area.

A TWO HOUR ALL INCLUSIVE INTENSIVE WORKSHOP OF MEDITATION & ART

Creativity and the Art of Self Discovery offers fun and engaging hands-on exercises that explore the relationship between consciousness and creativity. Expand your creative potential and gain insights into the spiritual dimension of the creative process. Using meditation and music to unlock the artist and discover the vast untapped potential that lies deep within you. Using a variety of guided visualisations, as well as music and mantra, you will learn how to quiet your mind and enter into a deeper part of your being. It is in this quiet inner space that the infinite potential of the human spirit is experienced. Let’s get higher! No artistic or meditation experience necessary. All art materials supplied.
