Art By Mia participates in the 2012 Sketchbook Project Tour:
It’s like a concert tour, but with sketchbooks.
Thousands of sketchbooks will be exhibited at galleries and museums as they make their way on tour across the world. After the tour, all sketchbooks will enter into the permanent collection of The Brooklyn Art Library, where they will be barcoded and available for the public to view.

Art By Mia / Chamaca Arts joins the acclaimed Actress April Hernandez-Castillo and Rhina Valentin La Reina Del Barrio for the Launch of ‘THE L.O.V.E. WALK’ A 5k Walkathon On Sat. October 15, 2011 Walking To End Domestic Violence “Because All It Takes Is The First Step”
The L.O.V.E (Love Overcomes Violence Eternally) Walk on Saturday October 15th @ 8:45 am at the Bronx Park East baseball field located at Bronx Park E & Lydig Avenue, Bronx, New York.
What to bring:
Please wear PURPLE as it represents the color for Domestic Violence Awareness Month DONATIONS this is a free event but we ask for your support by donating a pair of NEW, FAIRLY NEW or GENTLY USED sneakers in all sizes. All donations go to the Sneaker 2 Succeed Campaign in partnership with Remo Production, Inc., Art of Stepping Foundation and Chris Duhon Stand Tall Foundation.
The L.O.V.E. Walk was founded by
April Hernandez-Castillo (Freedom Writers / Dexter) and co-created by Rhina Valentin – La Reina Del Barrio Productions , supported by the National Coalition of Domestic Violence, Remo Production, Inc and Center Against Domestic Violence.
