New York, NY: Chashama is delighted to present a new solo, one woman show by the internationally known and local folk and mixed media Artist Mia Roman Hernandez. The exhibit will showcase her unique and custom painted mixed media GODDESS artworks never seen before. The show simply titled GODDESS is a multi media show of sacred paths, a journey of culture, spirit and mythology celebrating the Divine Feminine. Through an artistic perspective Mia has combined the Feminine and Masculine in her Goddess work. She magically interprets the delicate with divine shapes and the strong with empowered colors.
In the Beginning there was the Goddess and over the centuries as the goddess gradually lost power, her divine role ceased to exist. They feared the power and worship of the Goddess and tried to stop it and rid of everything and anything that was to worship the Goddess.
Most people don’t realize 30000 years ago God was a woman and 30000 years later the divine feminine still represents the supreme deity. With the rise and fall of the GODDESS, Women, the Divine Feminine still stand strong and continue to fight their male counter parts and be worshipped all over the world. Although we may never know what it would be like to live in a world dominated by the Goddess, we are coming close to it. With so many women being agents of change, moving and shaping the world through true Goddess work. It’s the history, myth and religious aspect and life of the Goddesses of yesterday, today and tomorrow that inspire Mia’s Goddess Art Series, a series with no ending.
