This year has been one of wonder, surprise, changes, loss, grief, joy, growth, amazement, abundance, blessings, light, darkness, discovery, new friends, old friends, love, new kitties, and so much more AND I WELCOME EVERY DROP OF IT!!! without the movement of life it would be STAGNANT waters…. YUK! give me the waves to keep things in movement! With that said i wanted to share some new things with you. I have been featured in a few publications, new workshops, and new endeavors. It was all possible BECAUSE OF YOU!!! Because of your support I have been able to get up when I fall, and run when I find difficulty in walking, and fly when I feel like my wings have broken…. IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU THAT I PUSH FORWARD WITH MY ART AND AM ABLE SHARE MY PASSION WITH THE WORLD!

So here is a little morsel update covering the passed couple of months.
I am officially a proud full member of the National Conference for Puerto Rican Women NYC Chapter. The National Conference of Puerto Rican Women, Inc. (NACOPRW) is a national organization with chapters in various cities.
They are the only national organization of Puerto Rican women in the United States dedicated to promoting the civic and cultural participation of Puerto Rican women and other Latinas in the economic, social and political life in the United States and Puerto Rico.

Expressive Arts Director at the Ruth Fernandez Family Residence in the South Bronx: A homeless shelter for families in transition, where I give a weekly two hour Expressive Arts workshop for children. The idea was born from the need to save, support and encourage the children of our future. The Director Mr. Arsenio Gonzalez and I sat down and agreed that the youth in the facility lacked the support and leadership to break the chains of poverty, illiteracy, drugs, and gang violence. Our work is to make sure that those that are poor, of color, and live in the worst area of the South Bronx do not fall to be victims of their environment. To give them the tools and confidence to want more, to learn, to dream, to see that ALL IS POSSIBLE and they can BE THE CHANGE. We created this program to help them academically, socially, emotionally, and to give them the confidence to grow, learn, heal, and share their voices as strong contributors to this Universe. THE LIFE SENTENCE FOR THESE CHILDREN TODAY IS….YES WE CAN!
I now sit on the Advisory Board Member of Latinas 50 Plus founded by the amazing Maria Aponte. Latina Fifty-Plus, pays tribute to Latinas over fifty years
of age who were pioneers. They shaped their careers in a time when Latina women were venturing onto pathways where very few Latinas were seen or accepted. This program acknowledges the trailblazers who were among the first in their profession. By creating this venue which expresses public appreciation for Latina women over fifty, they will have the opportunity to tell their personal
narratives. They can provide a historical perspective on what it was like to
have lived in a time when Latina feminism was not the norm or tolerated.
