Celebrate HeRevolution

Hello Lovies,

It's March and one of my favorite months of the year... It's the month that the WORLD is celebrating HeRevolution, Woman, Women, Her, She.. yes... The GODDESS!

I will be writing and sharing about the Evolution of the HER, the beautiful REVOLUTION of HER throughout the month. I do so because SHE is my muse. So i do hope you will enjoy, be inspired, share, and grow with me to love, celebrate, and respect HER in all kinds of beautiful ways.

Today March 1st, 2017 marks the first day of Women’s HerStory Month. Alot has changed, shifted, grown, and we have come a long way but not far enough. The struggle for EQUALITY is still a topic of discussion, FEMICIDE is still a topic of discussion, DISCRIMINATION is still a topic of discussion, along with many other topics that have been of discussion for over 100 years. On Election Day in 1920, millions of American women exercised their right to vote for the first time. It took activists and reformers nearly 100 years to win that right, and the campaign was not easy: Disagreements over strategy threatened to cripple the movement more than once. But on August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was finally ratified, enfranchising all American women and declaring for the first time that they, like men, deserve all the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.

STILL, today we MARCH FOR HER…..

From the beginning of time WOMEN have been Warriors in battle, have held it together struggle after struggle, defying the odds, and overcoming obstacles, they have been the backbone, working every vertebrae, they are the firmly rooted holding families, caring for the sick, nurturing children and men, while working from dawn to dusk until their fingers were worn to the bone. Women have a high tolerance for pain because STRUGGLE taught them how to turn it into  OPPORTUNITY.

Today there is a new President in office, and he has failed to show his respect for the Female gender and humanity at large… his poor choice of words and actions have left him less than desirable and respected. The TRUTH is that if he only knew when MEN and WOMEN get together, support one another, respect one another and FIGHT TOGETHER, there is NOTHING that can penetrate or take it down. One is no more valuable than the other, and where one falls short the other picks up and continues forward… That is just how it is, or should be.

Below is a Presidential message that I found as an honorable recognition…..

Presidential Message 1980
President Jimmy Carter’s Message to the nation designating March 2-8, 1980 as National Women’s History Week.

From the first settlers who came to our shores, from the first American Indian families who befriended them, men and women have worked together to build this nation. Too often the women were unsung and sometimes their contributions went unnoticed. But the achievements, leadership, courage, strength and love of the women who built America was as vital as that of the men whose names we known so well.

As Dr. Gerda Lerner has noted, “Women’s History is Women’s Right.” – It is an essential and indispensable heritage from which we can draw pride, comfort, courage, and long-range vision.”

I ask my fellow Americans to recognize this heritage with appropriate activities during National Women’s History Week, March 2-8, 1980.

I urge libraries, schools, and community organizations to focus their observances on the leaders who struggled for equality – – Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, Lucy
Stone, Lucretia Mott, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Harriet Tubman, and Alice Paul.
Understanding the true history of our country will help us to comprehend the need for full equality under the law for all our people.

This goal can be achieved by ratifying the 27th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which states that “Equality of Rights under the Law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.”

Since then we have grown from 7 days to having Women’s History Month. By 1986, fourteen states had declared March as Women's History Month. In 1987, after being petitioned by the National Women's History Project, Congress passed Pub. L. 100-9 which designated the month of March 1987 as Women's History Month. So, we continue to celebrate her in all her beauty. Remembering those that paved the way, that fought for our rights, for our Grandmother’s, Mother’s and Sisters… recognizing HeRevolution preserving her native tongues, and traditions. Keeping stories alive, weaving memories like threads in a quilt to be shared for generations to come. SHE is ALL of US….

I AM grateful for ALL OF HER… ALL OF THEM… I AM BECAUSE SHE IS, WAS, WILL, AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE ROOT TO MY BLOOM…!

I Thank you for subscribing to my news letter, for your support, love and continued push. It is with this that i can fly, share, and build. So.... THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THIS WOMAN!!!

May your days be filled with bright light and inspiration and your nights with beautiful dreams and desires.

Your Creative Goddess, Mia

Over and over again the ladies were unsung and now and then their commitments went unnoticed. Be that as it may, the accomplishments, authority, mettle, quality and love of the ladies who manufactured America was as essential as that of the men whose names we known so well.
